It's good to learn the academic laws and theories

We'll all be better off with creative comedies

Though some might have gone through blood, sweat and tears

And some have chosen them as their permanent posts
While many of them happily with their families boast
How they have found their happiness from coast to coast

After variable years of cross cultural living
There'll be exchanges of giving and receiving
Making all interacting lives more enriching
Cementing relationships that are far reaching

With favourable mutual socio-economic and political ties
May they continue to hold strong however fast time flies
Whenever firmly established, friendship made never dies
With 'fair dinkum' spirit there'll be fair discussions without lies

May all the graduates (under ANZGAM) share a common voice
And be a useful and powerful force to be reckoned with
To champion and uphold the universal freedom of choice
To safeguard human rights to correct length and width

To the governments and people of Australia and New Zealand we'll be grateful

One big question to pose to all 'senior citizens' (who are bloggers especially) is whether there is any urgent need to have an uniform official minimum age, recognized world wide, to qualify as one to avoid any confusion and dispute anywhere.

It used to be 55 based on the previous retirement age of civil servants, but KTM (Malaysian railway) would only accept 60 and above as being eligible for any fare discount.

Lily, perhaps one good project for all senior bloggers to work on jointly is to gather all the info, available from both the public and private sectors, whereby 'senior citizens' are given due recognition in the form of special concessions, treatments and/or discounts.

Early on you would've sworn by
the weather report and said the same things.
Not anymore. The wetscape, flooding every radio,
has everyone by surprise, and what sounds so
contagious a cough is the inflammation of
thunder clearing its throat:
the city a spittoon flushed for good measure.

Your backyard is discriminating submerged.
An ark emerges in you -
if only an invention, easy as a lie,
but how you, in sipping hot coffee all alone,
want the barrage of rain stop,
birds and animals reach out to pair,
the newsvendor deliver. But
your backyard, like your neighbour's roof
a curse that leaks testify, is no place
for revelation. The saviour it appears appears
in a rainbow, with its threshold of subsidence,
otherwise lovers, sugar-packed and stacked,
would sooner walk on water
and nothing short of a toast and papers
augur well for breakfast.

Which I happily sacrifice for the sake of rhyme

Without any boundary for any zealot to confine

There will be many adjustments from time to time

Trying to block out time to blog 'just in time'

So as not to be left out in historical time

While still having my say at the right time

5. Any regrets through blogging?

As long as blogging remains a pleasure

It will be an activity I truly treasure

Whether with hot passion or casual leisure

It'll contribute to my legacy as part of my feature

One regret is that I didn't get to blog earlier
