Roles Of The Press - (Ref:M'siaThinkTankLondon&MPI)

ROLES OF THE PRESS
The role of the press is to inform
The general public plus those in uniform
What goes on and what's been formed
Including what's being reformed and transformed
The role of the press is to educate
Towards public education it must dedicate
Clarifying issues and never to complicate
Ensuring what's published is strictly accurate
The role of the press is to communicate
Ideas and ideals among those who participate
The public's mind it must constantly stimulate
With suitable role models for all to emulate
The role of the press is to postulate
The future trend that some may speculate
By whatever means used to calculate
To forewarn the public before it's too late
The role of the press is to entertain
With comics it's like to the desert welcomed rain
Inculcating the mind with sense of humour to train
Loosening up the funny bone's invisible chain

Proverbs Exposed, Expanded And Expounded (Cont.12th Aug.)

PROVERBS EXPOSED, EXPANDED AND EXPOUNDED
6. A bad penny always turns up
Whether or not you're down or up
Pray then for it to be removed like the cup
You need not use to drink with in a gulp
7. A bird in hand is worth two in the bush
Since there's no point in beating around the bush
Knowing how difficult it is to get a real push
When peace is what we all need in a rush
8. A chain is no stronger than its weakest link
Whatever its colour from dark red to pink
Better to link up together for strength or we'll sink
Right before our own eyes quicker than a blink
9. A fool and his money are soon parted
Thanks to 'fast' money getting it started
But before too long quickly departed
Leaving behind debts to be mounted
10. A friend in need is a friend indeed
When hungry will be there to feed
When angry will be there as strong reed
When empty will be there to sow seeds
